Learn about Fiedler's life and art through a variety of print, audio, and motion picture archives
Fresh off the presses is the new book "Fiedler" by Kalman Maklary Fine Arts of Budapest, long time champions of mid century non-figurative Parisian art. Following their riveting two part publication of Simon Hantai's works, Maklary has once again produced an homage to the artist that is both alluring and understated. The layout allows the art to do the talking, leaving the beautifully written prose to simply reflect what the mind's eye already recognizes intuitively.
These are Fiedler's more "shocking" early works - "shocking" in their bold colors and intricate details as opposed to the calmness, the serenity, the subtlety of his later works.
